Update - Re: Sarasota: Help sought locating missing man with autism

VENICE - Authorities have safely located an autistic North Port man who had been

reported missing earlier Tuesday.

Just before 8:30pm Tuesday, Deputies with the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office

responded to 1881 Scenic Drive in Venice in reference to a reported person

walking near the inter costal waterway towards Shamrock Park.

According to the complainant, the person matched the description of 45-year-old

Osbourne, for which the Sheriff's Office had released a missing persons

report earlier in the day.

Mr. Osbourne was located by Deputies and found to be without injury.

1600 block of South Tamiami Trail in Venice yesterday afternoon when he

disappeared.

> Osborne is 6 feet tall, 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last

seen wearing a blue polo shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. Due to his autism,

he will not normally initiate conversation with strangers.
