Guest guest
there are different routes to get medicaid..SSI is income based ..ususally on the family income.....under medwaiver your child is a household of one for consideration and it is diagnosis as the initial enrtry point fpr consideration To: sList Sent: Tue, March 9, 2010 5:02:34 PMSubject: Re: Re: Extra Care for autistic child 14,500 for a family?! How is that possible?? I do fill something out for his SSI every year about what I am doing with his money, but that’s it. I thought that he got medicaid just because of the disability without regard to income. You're fortunate if they haven't checked yet. You probably get a check off sheet twice a year regarding any changes in status. It is a felony if you're caught lying about the income. Also, if you put the money in the child's account - there can't be more than around 2000.00 in the account at any time. I don’t know the monetary limits, but my son has medicaid through his disability (SSI) and they never seem to check our income and he has never lost it despite increases and decreases in our income over the years. I know the next level after medicaid is FL Kid Care which is like $20 a month or so. Email me privately if youd like. My husdband is making some income now but it is not consistent. Will my child be pushed off? What are the limits? I heard they can not deny you coverage but they will put you on the HMO once you start declaring a reasonable income. Please help. Is it just someone to be extra hands with your son or do you want them to work on homework or take him places? Id start thinking at say $9-10 depending on what youre asking for and what the demands he presents are. If its more intensive help you will likely need to up that a few dollars. That’s in my experience. Perhaps one of their psych. or nursing students would be interested in this type of job. If you are in Boca, F.A.U., or Lynn U. might have the same type of office. If a high school student would work as a helper, Nova High School in Davie posts open job lists for their students. You could specify that you prefer a Senior. Some of the kids at the school already have participated in the Buddies program or taken seminars on autism.G.> > From: Milian <cathymilian@ ...>> Subject: Re: Fun in the Field day> To: sList@ yahoogroups. com> Date: Monday, March 1, 2010, 9:28 AM> > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > I second that.> > Thanks so much > and family we all had a great time> > Connected by MOTOBLURâ„¢ on T-Mobile> > Fun in the Field day> > > > > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > Matt and Stacey----> Thank you so much for a really wonderful day.
