Guest guest
Debbie, I'll keep you updated. He didn't have but one ear infection, but he has very narrow canals and the wax was causing him to be blocked up. We now take him in to have them vacuumed out about every three months and it has been better. He sometimes follows simple commands, but other days is in his own world and you have to touch him to get him to respond even to his name. He loves his deep pressure stuff, patting his back is more like beating him, lol, and we yell him to sleep most nights, or his music is on very loud, people would think we were nuts. His avoidance things are busy noisy places and changes in schedule really get him some days. He won't wear his glasses, seeing clearly is just too much for him.We are working on that too. The good side to him having sensory is that I can be yelling at the other kids and I don't have to worry about keeping him awake, he goes right out. I know the book, I try to read everything she writes, I love her. I am thrilled with his speech lately, hopefully one less thing to worry about, but he still has days when there is barely any(usually when he is in his own world), and then other days when he does nothing but make different noises all day long. Like I said it will be much easier when it is just this set of issues to work on. Thanks for the offer of help, I'll let you know what happens with his evaluation.
