nne, thank you so much. Unlike tornadoesand Hurricanes, one does not get warnings; the thingsjust arrive! Fortunately, we have only had about fivesince the big one in 1906 in San Francisco that did major damage. When I was about 11 years old we were living in Southern California, in the Los Angelesbasin, where minor quakes occur often. My mother,a professional pianist, was playing her piano at the time and thought that something terrible had gone wrong with the piano. earthquake California

I just saw Northern California had a 6.5 earthquake at 4:27 p.m. their time. From what I read it was near Ferndale but was felt as far as central CA and as far north as Tiller, OR.
