Guest guest
be careful with absolutes. I know of at least one hospital based EMS agency that the hospital has used the pre-hospital red top if properly labelled (the medics are hospital employees and they have been through the hospital's in-service on proper samples and labelling). Guest guest
That is one absolute that I will have to defend. Usually that specimen has to be hand delivered by the blood bank staff (in a large hospital) or at least it has to be drawn " in house " . It is similar to the chain of command....every step and transfer of possession is documented. This is at least with all of the hospitals that I have worked for. This is for good reason....they want to cover their butts!! D. Stone " J. Nile " wrote: be careful with absolutes. Guest guest
, He told me off the list that it was a flight service that used to be associated with a hospital, but is no longer associated with one. He said that his wife was the Chief Flight Nurse, but he wouldn't be specific about the company's name. Donnie TX1@... wrote: For a type and cross match?? I am very curious which hospital this is.
