I'll pipe in a bit, even though I went through Dr. Mun.

They originally told me it was about 3 months from my first consult until

surgery...and it ended up being 3 months and 2 weeks...pretty close. I'm not

sure how Dr. Thayer does it, but I had a surgery date before they even submitted

to my insurance company. They gave me the date, and then filed the paperwork.

I was told that's the way they do it...possibly a pressure-tactic on the

insurance company, ie: " Hey...this person qualifies as a good candidate, and we

need to get this done as quick as possible for their health. Here's the date

we're doing surgery...please approve " . :-) I don't know if that's how it

actually happens, but that was the impression I got.

Re dr thayer

so the wait had nothing to do with your insurence? When I was with my

other dr my insurence approved me in 2 days.I was just wondering if the

waiting was all because of htem and not the drs. lol.Oh well I have waited

this long whats a few more months. Thanks Tina
