Guest guest
Llanda, You are absolutely right. If one doesn't really want to BF, there are many excuses as to why to give up. We've all heard someone say, I tried but it didn't work out or I just didn't produce enough milk. Sadly, it's usually due to the lack of information/education - that it was a simple problem and not one to quit over. The smartest thing that I ever did was to seek out a lactation consultant when my daughter and I were having difficulty, she was 1 month old. I understand why some will reach for the formula (those damn samples!) It will break my heart if she doesn't even try. If she reads the info I give her and decides to, I will let her know that I am here and will help her anyway I can. I know it will be hard for her if her Mother doesn't support her. Melody ......original message...... Honestley, I don't think Bf is something you can or perhaps even SHOULD convicie someone else to do, SO much of its sucess has to do with attitude and if you are talked into something you just don't have as much as a conviction to stick with it. -Llanda Mommy to 4/4/2000
