I do feel a little crampy, not too bad. My temps are still up, well above the

coverline, but I actually had AF come before my temps fell one month. I guess

my body loves tricking me. I have a nagging lower backache as well. But I

refuse to let myself think anything besides AF is on her way. I can not

afford to think it could be anything else. But I am praying about every 5

minutes even though I know if it hasn't happened by now (this time in my

cycle) it aint gonna happen. It's pretty much a wipe and watch game from

here.

Did you have any indications until the U/S that you may have had an

ep? I had bad cramping and spotting at 5w, so I knew something was

wrong even before I took the first beta. I have all my records from

that time, and unfortunately, they did not measure the progesterone.

The only " sign " that something might have been wrong was that my

progesterone was low when I got my first HCG at 14 dpo (this was the

case with all my mcs too). The dr put me on crinone, but even on

that, my progesterone was only 14. No pain, no bleeding, nothing

else. My numbers even doubled all the way to 36 dpo.

I had a 6 1/2 week U/S and they saw two sacs in the uterus. They

didn't see the fetal pole, so thought I miscounted the days. That's

when I thought something was wrong (again) because I was charting and

knew my days were right. But the dr was " cautiously optimistic " that

everything was fine--until the 7 1/2 week U/S when things " looked

different. " Talk about a roller coaster--one week they told us we

were having twins, the next week we found out it was an ep.

I'm thinking you are in really good shape because of your excellent

progesterone level. I think my case (having virtually no ep

symptoms) is the exception.

I have to tell that this made me laugh out loud...I know it is very

stressful and probably not at all funny to you, but the way you

worded it was great...

Dana,

No AF can only be a good thing!!! I hope you don't see her again for

a long long time and that you get wonderful news tomorrow. What time

is your beta? And what time zone are you in? So I can be channeling

all the positive thoughts your way at the right time!

Good luck tomorrow. Your test will be on my birthday. Since I am not

celebrating (it's kind of hard to celebrate the day before the second

beta), I hope that you will have a reason to celebrate tomorrow.

Sending you ++++++++ vibes.

I am so hoping for good news. To be honest with you, I have actually

considered NOT having the beta tomorrow. I just don't think I am ready to

have a (-) on that test. I have never gotten so far as to have one (except

with my ep) as so after this long I think I just might want to wait it out. I

knowit sounds crazy but having AF show up is not nearly as bad as finding out

before she does and having to wait for her to show up. It could be I am only

prolonging the agony, but the hopeful part is not so bad.

Dear Judy and Poly,

Thanks so much for helping me with this information. Just to give a brief history of my situation - I have now had three surgeries for AS in the UK. After the first my periods returned but were extremely light and I was not really monitored. I had to request an investigation after a year and as I suspected I had re-scarred. In the second op. an IUD was fitted and I had three months on hormones. I had a very heavy bleed after the IUD was removed. Then the very light periods resumed. Everything seemed fine in an HSG at this point in time and I was told to ttc.

After six months I had another HSG but this one revealed there upper part of the uterus was closed and I had no fill or spill from my tubes. I was then referred to a different consultant who performed a hyst and lap in Oct. and inserted an IUD with one months hormones. My cavity now looks clear under U/S and one of my tubes is functioning. However I was told to expect a heavy bleed as before but this time only spotting arrived. I am now back to square one with very light periods. When I asked what a small white patch on the U/S was I was told it was endometrium. I was then told the rest of the lining probably had scar tissue but this was nothing to worry about as my endo. would grow back over it and I still had plenty of endo. in the lower cavity. At this point I decided to seek advice from Dr.G.

I am really interested to know if anyone can conceive with some scarring left on the walls or whether I am trying in vain. Can people with light periods eventually develop heavier ones? Is scarring on the walls possible to remove and for the lining to restore itself successfully? I was told my AS was probably moderate and quite possible to treat but does scarring on the walls suggest a more severe case? I wish I understood this more and really hope Dr.G replies soon - I am desperate for some answers.

Thank you once again to both of you who I hold with great admiration. Judy, I having been following your story and feel you are very brave and doing something truly remarkable which your family will bless you for in the future. I know it must be very hard to be away from them and takes much courage. I hope Dr. Indman can provide you with some excellent results - you deserve them. Poly, thank you once again for all the concern and inspiration you give to everyone each day - this group has changed the lives of many people.

Best wishes,
