Upon arrival, officers discovered a 4 year old female in repertory arrest. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance where she was admitted in critical condition. Major Crimes was notified, and detectives did respond. As of this time it is unknown why the child stopped breathing. Adults Arrested None Media Contact Name and Phone Number: Lt. Whitlock 444-3140 **UPDATE**A mother and her boyfriend have been arrested, after the woman's 4 year-old daughter was rushed to the hospital early Tuesday morning.Colorado Springs Police were called out to a home on Lane, near North Academy and Austin Bluffs, on a report of a child who wasn't breathing.The 4 year-old girl was taken to Memorial Hospital in critical condition.Police say the child had bruises all over her body, and had a severe head injury that had likely happened only a few hours earlier.The girl's mother, 23 year-old Chrystie Marie Hardy, and her friend, 25 year-old Mark Alton Friend, have been arrested.
