I am having a problem scheduling IEP Meetings with Broward

County Schools. They refuse to deal with the parent attorney's office to

coordinate dates but instead gives the parent 2 dates to check out with the

attorney. Can you tell me of when your child had his/her last IEP and how

was the meeting date arranged.

Jess, you failed to mention if you knew the school district

policy (written/unwritten) for setting up meetings for IEP. Or is there an ESE

Policy?

Due to the amount of students and families in need for

attorney's offices to be involved in these things, everyone has to find time

to schedule a meeting. That may take patience and remembering that there are

MANY out there that need assistance. The schools only have so many hours in a

day, as well as parents working, and attorney's offices having other

meetings. Be patient scheduling is and will forever be a hard thing to iron

out when so many entities are involved.
