Yes, I know of someone who had the Thyogen in her arms. Since protocol

calls for it in the hip, your doc will have to apprive it in the deltoid

which shouldn't be a problem with your lymphedema. There is a limit to how

much fliud can be given in one injection in the arm. If Thyrogen exceeds

that amount, you can probably be given 2 injections, one in either arm.

Have you talked with your doc about this?

Hi:

I had Thyrogen in the arm two years ago. At the time I was 50lbs

heavier than I am now. I had a frozen right shoulder at the time so

I had both injections in the left arm and didn't have any problem.

I also had my Thyrogen injections in the arm. One on a Monday, another on a

Tuesday. I am of a slight weight and normal size and did not suffer from a

sore arm. My only side effect was a bit of nausea which I alleviated by sipping

mint herbal tea and taking little breaks at work. After about 45 minutes the

spells would pass. In my opinion, Thyrogen was a much easier alternative to

being hypo.

I would love to say my WBS results were clean, but they were not. The small

amount of tissue that was there was very detectable even using the Thyrogen

alternative to going hypo.
