There are no decimal points in Cytomel dosages. Also, levothyroxine (Levoxyl, Unithroid, Levothroid, Synthroid) is listed as 0.15 mg = 150 mcg. The statement below would more accurately read: 100 mcg of Cytmel (T3) is equal to 400 mcg of levothyroxine (T4). Your concerns about the high dose were right on. It is uncommon to be on more the 75 mcg Cytomel while hypo as evidenced in Dr. Ain's post.
