Sippy cup - was PT Breastfeeding

We have tried three different kind of sippy cups. She just tries to nurse

them - tongue going on bottom, clicking sound as she gums them for a letdown

;)

I think part of the problem is that she is not wild about any of the liquids

we have given her in them. I am not about to put EMM in it while she is not

managing to drink succesfully, since I would have to use a lot for her to

reasonably be able to tip it, and I don't have any to spare.

She HATES applejuice and applesauce, you would think we were trying to

poison her. And she is not too wild about water either. I think we will try

white grape juice, since she likes grapes.

Thanks for the help!

Lynn

luvncare also makes a tippy that has transition nipples on it.. it goes from

soft squishy nipple, to harder to sport drink top, to just a hole, to

nothing.. its pretty cool, and the squishy one was great when amandelyn

wouldn't take those hard plastic ones

Lynn,

I had good luck with pear juice and white grape, you could also try rice

milk it is a similiar consistency to breastmilk.

Avent also has a system of graduated training cups--don't know if any are

leak proof though.

My kiddo didn't like anything apple until after a year--except that he would

eat an apple off the core at 9 months.
