Hi, Elaine,

My son goes to Silver Ridge and we transferred there at the start of 2nd grade. I am happier there than at our first school as far as responsiveness by the administration and ESE specialists for sure. There are a LOT of children there with special needs of all sorts and the vibe is much more accepting and supportive for all the kids I think. You are more than welcome to email me directly with any specific concerns you may have. Just remember...YOU are your child's advocate. Make sure you get him/her what he/she needs.

With love and respect for ALL of my sisters and brothers working on the puzzle,

HI! Just wondering if anyone has any feedback about the supported K programs at any of the following schools: Silver Ridge, Stirling or Elementary? Also, any general info on how these schools are at working with our kids?ThanksElaine

Elaine,

there is NO supported K in Broward. Please call the ESE department and let them know if anyone is telling you otherwise. There may be a class with an extra assistant now and then, but that is not what supported K is.
