Hu is a professor/researcher, not a DAN practioner. But she does have a child with autism which probably fueled her research, as is also commonplace among DAN doctors (that is, they have a child with autism).

Funny thing, in the article, there was a slight typo, a left-out space, so that "autism may" appeared as "autismmay", but when I saw that word, I immediately thought of the "autoimmunity" aspect of autism.

How ironic that, if the case might be, what may be the "cause or cure" of autism was kind of right there in the word "autism" all along.
