The FIRST Charter School for Children with Autism in Miami-Dade & Broward Counties is proud to offer Autism Community Workshops Sponsored by the Dade Community Foundation Autism Community Workshops are open to Miami-Dade County residents who are either (a) the parents of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or ( professionals who work in the Autism Field. Workshops are free of charge and will provide training in the methods of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), as well as topics related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The program will run from April through December of 2010, so please be sure to check our website each month to see what Workshops are being offered. Below are the Workshops being offered in April: Overview of Applied Behavior Analysis, Part I Sat., 4/10/10; 10 am to 12 noon Speaker: Dr. Tamara Moodie Overview of Applied Behavior Analysis, Part II Sat., 4/24/10; 10 am to 12 noon Speaker: Dr. Tamara Moodie How to Use Reinforcers Sat., 4/31/10; 10 am to 12 noon Speaker: Dr. Tamara Moodie Workshops will be conducted in English; however, printed materials will be available in English and Spanish.
