Guest guest
, I cannot taste anything fishy at all. My Mom swears that I'm seasoning food that I cook too heavily...and I've read that our tastebuds can be affected by ATD's...so maybe that is why I don't taste anything fishy??? Just guessing! Guest guest
Pam, I'm not even sure the taste alterations even happen with Tap. I had no idea that I was heavy handed with the garlic and spices until Mom told me! So I guess it's been my experience that I've lost some taste sensation with Tap. Guest guest
Hi Doris, On the PTU package insert under minor adverse reactions.... loss of taste, and something called taste perversion..what does that mean? Yes, I lost a lot of taste... thank goodness ! Finally could not taste the PTU. What a blessing. :-) It took awhile to get to that point though, 6 mo. to a year ? It was so slow, you don't really notice it. It is funny, I see with my eyes how much tabasco sauce I put in... but it doesn't register in my mouth. So I just keep in mind who is going to be doing the eating. I have also read the they use PTU in testing peoples ability to taste 'bitter'. I will be interested in what they say about the Tapazol. -Pam-

Hehehehehe, I got all sorts of ideas, but I won't say them (I GOTTA get more sleep LOL). One thing I am thinking of that is proper to discuss in mixed company (hehehehe) is the fact that PTU has such a metallic taste to it that foods don't taste right when you eat them. If they were foods with a mild flavor, then the PTU overwhelms them and foods with strong flavors have a tang to them. > Yes, I lost a lot of taste... thank goodness ! Guest guest
I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I can just see him grabbing the milk !!! Still waiting to see if my taste comes back. maybe it will be as slow as it went away ??? I would cut down on the tabasco expense, and that big of a bottle doesn't fit on a spice shelf. :-) I often enjoyed the vision of people in a taste test situation, having to taste PUT. = :-o It must be if a doctor is checking someone's taste buds ? -Pam- who is still planning on expanding the size of my garlic bed this season.
