Guest guest
Bobbi, I know we've had other members ask the same thing. Unfortunately right now I'm drawing a blank as to who it was, sorry. I know it's nothing to worry about usually. You should ask your ortho about it. -- In Plagiocephaly , " caswellgirls " <caswellgirls@...> wrote: > > I have Kaitlyns helmet off for her one hour " break " and just noticed > that by her flat spot there is a ridge/indention, does that mean 1/4 > inch growth and the helmet needs to be adjusted or what? Guest guest
Bobbi, This can happen sometimes with fluid retention and is usally nothing to be concerned about. It will go away. I had this a couple times with Dominick. Now when you are concerned and have anything like this you should always go ahead and call your OT and see what they say. Guest guest
Hi Bobbi, I'm not sure exactly where the ridge/indentation is on your daughter. My daughter developed a metopic suture ridge which goes from her forehead back to her soft spot. It's not noticeable unless you feel the top of her head. Where is your daughter's flat spot? My only guess is that if it's not along a suture line, she likely has growth in the area she need to round out. Feel free to ask more questions if you don't get the answer you're looking for.
