Dan... it all sounds wonderful! Cookies with cayenne in them? I've never had that but Challis makes a hot cocoa mix with cayenne in it. So what is the spiced almond cranberry mix? hugs Sharonjoin me on Facebook:Sharon Mars wobbletowalk@...This email is a natural hand made product. I attended a small gathering at a friend's home in San Francisco for NYE. The friend was thoughtful enough to hold a parking space in front of his place so that I could park close.

For the party I made this spiced almond cranberry mix, which turned out well. I also made chocolate chip cookies, which included coconut and cayenne pepper. Guests at the party really liked the spiced cookies.

The party broke up shortly after midnight. I was home before 1 am. And, the streets were rather quiet.

New year day I had coffee with a friend, did laundry and watched some of the Rose Bowl game and went to the gym.

Happy new year!Dan U dao_nguu@...

New Year's Eve was fairly quiet, hamburgers and homemade fries for dinner, with snack-y stuff afterward. Whew! too much food!! My son made special punch for his kids in addition to the 'kid wine'. He made what he calls "Jungle Punch"--orange juice, fresh pineapple chunks, lime juice, limes halves, sliced bananas and pineapple juice. The kids loved it but I couldn't drink it because it's too acid for my sore tongue. I was in bed by 10 p.m. and fast asleep soon after. The temp was 11 degrees this morning and I wanted to just stay in my nice warm bed but the puppy wouldn't let me. He had to go outside. Cold! Today we have a friend's kids here for the day while their dad is cutting firewood. The kids are 11, 13 and 15. They are playing with my grandkids. The kids have all been watching

movies and having fun. This afternoon my son, daughter-in- law and I sat with our seed catalogs and made some decisions about what we will plant in the garden this spring. We do that every New Year's Day. A tradition I love:)I hope you all had a good New Year's Eve?hugs
