Guest guest
Hi everyone! I am home and honestly, I feel pretty darn good for being 2 days post op. Sure I have pain but it's different, you know? Most of it now just feels like bruising & swelling, and there is some pain at the incision site. I think I'm going to ice it soon. I wasn't sure they were going to let me leave today. I had a little scare with my blood pressure right after surgery. They think it's because the morphine did NOT agree with me, yuck. I almost got sick all over my poor nurse yesterday lol. Things just weren't moving yet in the GI tract and all the fluids that I had by mouth were just sitting there. It was not fun. But after they took me off the morphine I started feeling MUCH better. I think for the most part that narcotic pain meds & I just do not get along considering I'm allergic to most of them anyway. Now I feel pretty good! And my BP is finally within normal limits where it belongs. I think at one point it was like 182/110. YIKES. Glad to be home. Fiance's been putzing around the house to make it nice & comfey for me. Do think I'm going to miss the hospital bed with the rails (boy those rails were handy) but I know I'll be fine. So glad I could finally get this over with. Really think it was the best thing for me and am hopeful that I'll feel great in a few weeks.
