It also seems to narrow the criteria for diagnosis significantly, which seems likely to exclude many who are now considered on the spectrum and relegate them to other diagnoses, such as comorbid diagnosis of antisocial disorder, OCD & ADD instead, among other things. However, this is not the final draft, so I'm not sure. Any thoughts, anyone?

I don't like it. Its closing the Barn door after the horse already ran. I

understand why they want to do it but its just to late. They should of done it

before the epidemic not after. i told my son and he said " What ever I know I am

and thats all that matters " . I see my son's reaction as typical Aspie being

Aspie (aka What I think matters your opinion is of no consequence) I believe

other Aspies will just blow off the new DX label and just keep on calling

themselves Aspies like my son plans to do. it would be totally in character.
