Regards, Darla Haskell Annual State Application under Part B of IDEA for Federal Fiscal Year 2010 The purpose of this memorandum is to notify school districts and other interested parties of Florida’s Annual State Application Under Part B of IDEA for Federal Fiscal Year 2010 (Part B Application) . In order to receive a grant under Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), states must submit an application annually. The public participation requirements relevant to part B are described in the Part B regulations at section 300.165 of Title 34 of the Code of Federal Regulations and in section 441((7) of the General Education Provisions Act (GEPA). States are required to make the Part B Application available to the public for a period of 60 days and accept comments for a period of 30 days. The Part B Application will be available to the public until May 1, 2010, on the Florida Department of Education, Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services Web site at www.fldoe.org/ ese/. Comments will be accepted between March 1, 2010, and April 15, 2010. Comments may be submitted in writing to Dr. Kim Komisar, Administrator, ESE Program Administration and Quality Assurance, 325 West Gaines Street, Suite 614, Tallahassee, Florida 32399, via email at Kim.Komisar@ fldoe.org; or via fax at .
