Guest guest
Sandy, The more you do them the less it will hurt. I did the neck stretches in the tort carry as I went up and down the stairs to change diapers. Do it in front of a mirror. Have someone else there to distract them as you stretch. Get a favorite toy or something that distracts them. My son loves the ceiling fan so we would use that. Count off the numbers in a funny voice. I would bounce my son in the tort hold as well in between stretches. There is also a way to do the stretches with their head balanced on your thigh and the neck " hanging down " . I don't know how to describe that one really well. See if the OT can demonstrate that one. Of course my son is weird -- he laughs hysterically when we do the stretches now. Pacifier if she is really into that might work. Jack -- DOCGrad --- <monicash@...> wrote: > > Sandy, > You are not alone. Most children hate the stretches > my two cuties > included.
