Not eligible. the student must attend public school for a year the year before you want to use the mckay. In order to use the mckay, you must put your child through a year of public school.

Does anyone know if a child who has an IEP but has NEVER attended a public pre-k or public school eligible for McKay scholarship?

Thank you Darlene,

HB1505 did pass its first Committee stop yesterday and has pretty good chances

of passing out of the House.

Historically, the Senate has been the problem with any McKay expansion. I

believe effort should go into convincing Senator Detert the Chair of PreK-12 and

all the members of that Committee as well as Senate Leadership to move SB2746

the Senate companion Bill.

Thanks, Steve Moyer
