OT - I just e-mailed the company that makes voice recognitions software for drs

I told them how a lot of the families who are dealing with serious

illnesses like to record doctor visits and that they should turn us

into viral marketers so that they give us the voice recogniton

software for medical transcirptions and have us use it at our doctor

visits. If we were equipped with a laptop and printer we could

print the medical transcriptions right there or we could print it at

home and fax it to the doctors. If it contained information about

the software the doctors could see how it could save them the time

and cost of medical transcriptions and provide an additional service

to their patients.

I doubt anything will come of this because it seems like when you

have ideas for companies to improve something significant about an

aspect of their business they never listen because you are not the

person they expect to give them an idea.

I also said they should have a consumer version of their medical

library so that families with serious illnesses could purchase it

for personal use. Obviously, we don't want to pay what a doctor

would need to pay to use this as part of their profession.
