Bernadette,

I'm sorry to hear about Jeff. I can see from your message that you

love him very much. I know the pain is immense for you and you

probably have to take it one day, if not one hour at a time. Please

know that we are all here for you. I'll keep you in my prayers...and

know that whenever you need to talk I'm here to listen.

> Dear Friends,

>

> I've been out of touch for quite a while. I have some very sad

news. Many of you may remember that Jeff (my husband) and I had

bought our first house and were fixing it up. That's why I first

disappeared ... we were so busy. However, that's not the reason why I

stayed away. I'm finding it difficult to type this out, forgive my

rambling. Okay, deep breath. Jeff passed away of a massive heart

attack on October 7, 2004 ~ 10 days after his 40th birthday and one

week before our 3rd anniversary. It's been 2 months now and the pain

is as fresh as the night it happened. I found him in the office

slumped over the keyboard. He had no facial expression of pain,

that's the only thing that I'm grateful for ... he didn't suffer. I

can't even describe how I'm feeling ... only that I'm taking one day

at a time. My health has not been great as of late, but I'm under

doctor's care and am getting better. It seems that Jeff's death was a

great shock to my system and my immune system is not keeping up the

way it should.

wonderful man and a terrific husband. I'm lucky that I know that I

was loved by such a special person. Please remember to tell the

people closest to you how much you love them. I'm very glad that Jeff

and I always expressed our love for each other everyday.

I wish I knew what to say to help you through this time of sorrow. For those of

us who have been around here a while, we remember the rock you have

been for us when we were down. Let us be that rock for you now. We love you

so much. I pray that God will lay his healing hand on you and heal your heart

and your body. Reach out whenever and as often as you need. I love you, B!!!
