Re: Gout

Stick with the Allopurinol, . Trust me you NEVER want to have an

attack, the pain is so bad and there is nothing that relieves it. It used

to be

called the disease of kings. I'm glad I am a mere worker ant.

Walt,

My husband has a terrible problem with gout and gets it in all of his joints,

including his elbows and wrists. Whenever he feels an attack coming on he

takes colchicine right away and that helps most of the time. Take care.

I think I have another in an ongoing bout of gout. Instead of my

toe anf foot, it appears that it has attacked my left wrist, on the

back of my hand.

Has anyone heard of gout in that location?

I didn't recognize what it was until yesterday. I got on the colchicine

right away, so it should take a couple of more days to feel better...

LOL I was on Allopurinol for a year and still had at least one bout

of gout. Only to be told later (when i got new doctors) that maybe it

wasn't gout. So now I not sure if I have gout or not. Do know that

damn toes act up and nothing can be on it. But I like your outlook on

meds I have so many what's one more.
