Guest guest
, I'm sorry you feel that way. We all do our best to offer all of our members support! If you decide to stick around, you'll understand what is trying to say. Not ALL Hanger locations have a great reputation. In fact, some parents who have used the hanger helmet have had horrible outcomes! If we can prevent that happening to just ONE more baby, I say job well done. I've been a part of this group for 3 years, in that time I've read many, many posts about Hanger helmet, STARbands and local helmets making a baby's plagio worse. We had one member whose baby's had to end up having surgery to correct his plagio even though at one point he was helmeted. Never have I read a posts stating that a DOCband made a baby's head worse. I think it's great that you have found an experienced ortho and are happy w/your decision to use Hanger. Not all parents have been as lucky as you. It is imperative if you're going to use any other product besides the DOCband that you do your homework!!!!!! We can't stress that enough. In the wrong hands these band can and do cause more harm then good, sadly. -- In Plagiocephaly , " Poindexter " <stacypoindexter@s...> wrote: > While I appreciate that the majority of the mother's who post to this board > are HUGE DOCband supporters, I am also starting to feel that some of you > think it is unwise to even try any other band.
