This message is to inform you of the upcoming ESE Parent Workshops for the month of May. · Saturday, May 1 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Special Needs: Legal and Social Issue-Finding Your Way Through the Maze with L. Jerry Cohn, d/b/a Special Needs Professional Law Associates. This workshop will be at South Area Office in Sunrise. Cost is $10 · Saturday, May 15 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Improving a Child's Attention, Focus an Function Through Self-Regulation from 12:00 pm to 3 pm, Improving Hand Control and Handwriting, with Carolyn Murray, M.S., OTR and Betty Paris, M.Ed, PT STAR Services, Inc, Hollywood, FL. This workshop will be held at South Area Office in Sunrise. Cost is $10 .. Wednesday, May 26 from 9:30-12:30, Summing It Up 4 Summer, with Kitt Kelleher, Program Specialist, Broward County School Board. No Cost To register for either of the above workshops, call or email Ruth Rogge at ruth.rogge@.... · In collaboration with Children's Services Council, Saturday, April 17 from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, Tools for Transition: What's Next After High School for Young Adults with Special Needs with Billie of 211-Broward. This workshop is FREE with continental breakfast provided. Prior registration required directly with CSC, by going online to www.cscbroward.org. · In addition, the ESE Advisory Council Meeting is Monday, May17 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Piper High School Auditorium in Sunrise. No prior registration is required for the ESE Advisory Council Meeting.
