Guest guest
Hi everyone. I wanted to write in with our happy news-----I'm pregnant!! Many of you may remember that we just suffered 2 miscarriages recently (Jan & Mar) so I'm very hopeful that this time everything will work out. The doctor doesn't think there's any reason to think it won't, I'm young, healthy and have previously carried a baby with no problems so we're not considering us as having any type of 'problems'--just two really unfortunate losses. I'm 6wks today and feeling really well. I am glad that I am having some very slight symptoms of pregnancy though--tired, cranky, slightly sore nipples when Drake first latches on, and I had been feeling slightly queezy in the wee morning hours but haven't noticed that much anymore. I don't expect to be too sick since I never was with Drake. I have to say though that I can't believe that I feel like I'm already gaining weight!! It's like every day my rearend and legs (this is where I carry my 'extra' weight) are getting fatter!! I'd lost all that weight last fall doing the Weight Watchers (well, I actually only had about 15 to lose, but did it) and was feeling good about where I'd be when I got pregnant again but after the mcs I just lost focus and I guess started sliding a bit. But I honestly feel like just in the last 2 weeks things are going down hill fast!! I've started back to morning (very vigorous) walks and eating more sensibly but wouldn't mind shedding a few pounds. This probably isn't safe though is it? Anyone know? I'm not taking anything, but have in the past (all natural appetite suppressants) and am just hoping the diet and exercise will help but if anyone has a good suggestion I'd appreciate it. I really don't wanna be blimping out yet that's for sure!! Anyway, things are sailing along. Drake is still nursing away and doesn't seem to notice any changes in my milk or anything so I'm glad about that. And he's even been sleeping better at night which is nice for me since I'm feeling extra tired these days. Maybe things are just all in place this time for a great pregnancy and new baby. BTW I think my edd is March 5--could be earlier as I was 2 1/2 wks early with Drake. Take care! Fawn sahm to Drake 8-18-
