Guest guest
Does anyone know what the difference is between the STARband and Hanger Band? Any thoughts on which is better? We were referred by our doctor to an orthotics company that does the STARband. However, it looks like there might be a place closer to home where we can get the Hanger Band. Wasn't sure if it was worth the drive to get the STARband if we can get the Hanger Band closer to home. Thanks! Guest guest
Hello. Tha STARband and the Hanger band are essentially identical (as far as their look, weight and how they work). They are both active bands. My Daughter wore a Hanger Band and got great correction. The real key with any band you use is that the Orthotist is experienced with the band. You'll want to ask questions about how many babies they've treated etc. It would probably be a good idea to go to both places and have consults to see who you like, who has experience and who you feel comfortable with. Just talk to both and then go with your instincts. Good luck and keep us updated. Guest guest
Molly- I am pretty new...my son Braden got his STARband about 2 1/2 weeks ago. From what I understand, when it comes to the STARband it depends on the Ortho you work with. For us we saw great progress on Braden in the first two weeks so we are completely happy with the STARband. Good luck to you!
