Guest guest
... the treatments/meds you are on seem to be appropriate. The first drug I was on for spasms was Klonopin. Then later on I was on Baclofen. Now? I'm on NONE! Woo-hoo! A few years ago I thought I was going to continue getting worse but things have turned around for me after 10 years. So, there is always hope. I don't know what the future hold for me, of course, but for now MS symptoms are better. Hang in there. We are all here for you! There are times when the muscles in my lower legs feel like they are just clenched tight and it's like all the sudden I feel uncomfortable in my own skin, it's hard to explain. The doctors currently have me on .5 mg klonopin in the morning and the evening to help with muscle spams. Tramadol and percocet 4x a day for back pain. They have my on flexril 3x a day and tizanidine HCL 2x a day for the muscle spasms. He just added neurontin once a day. On top of that I take restoril to sleep. I feel like a zombie half the time, but when I don't take anything I have so much back pain and I'm so uncomfortable with the muscle spasms that I find it difficult to do anything. Since it's been almost a year now, I'm really not expecting to be able to return to how I was before. I would like to find ways to do things I want to do. Or find new things that I can do. I love to cook, but I have to be more careful, because I never know when I'm going to drop something. So my husband helps with that, he drains pastas and potatos and things, lifts the cast iron skillets. Anything that is hot he lifts. He's been a huge help to me and I think he's learned new things in cooking to.
