Guest guest
Every time someone posts a wonderful poem, I think, " Gee, it would be cool if we collaborated and made a book of our writings & art to tell the story of BPD from an adult survivor's standpoint " . I mentioned this in 's latest thread " Two KO relevant poems-by Oliver " . I thought I would make a new thread. I know Holly and others have posted things they've written, we've had conversations before about how so many of us like to write & draw & do other artistic things... was wondering what you guys thought about this? Some of the things Holly & I were discussing were regarding how to go about doing it, how if people wanted to remain anonymous we could do that at least in the book, etc. My original idea was that any proceeds could go to a non-profit charity that raises awareness about child abuse or BPD or something like that. My fiance had an idea I liked. He said if we could get like a forward done by someone who knows a lot about BPD that it might be a nice way to preface the book... that made me think of Randi LOL. Not sure if she would be interested, but first things first... and that I feel is to see if anyone's actually interested in doing this. Maybe if we were to share our stories through our art, we could help inspire someone who's suffering to get help & make them feel less alone. I think it would also be therapeutic for us, too. I would very much love to hear from anyone interested. Would love to hear ideas, concerns, questions, etc. I think if we put our heads together, we could actually pull this off. It will obviously take some time, but we're smart people and I think we could do it! Input, please? Also do not be afraid to bring up any concerns, hesitations, reservations, etc. I want to make sure it's something that people would feel safe & comfortable with if they wanted to participate.
