Guest guest
If your service does not provide replacement meds and equipment per TDH guidelines, what, aside from taking yourself out of service, are your alternatives? The other days, EVERY ambulance in our system had expired meds on board and our supervisors REFUSED to allow us to remain out of service until replacement meds were distributed. Why did this occur? The particular day in question was a holiday for the supply workers and management would NOT pay overtime for them to open the supply shop to distribute meds. I thought an anonymous call to TDH may have been in order but didn't have the intestinal fortitude to follow through. All that being said, under those circumstances, if my unit was inspected, what would be the consequences for me and my partner?
