Guest guest
hi all, we went for a check today. i see the same ortho every time-i really like her and get a good feeling from her. this is what happened: she said to keep in mind that the helmet isnt applying pressure, its just preventing the head from growing outwards further, so where there was bossing outwards before, (his head looked like a sideways oval) that is still present to some degree. but now there is growth other places so the head is taking on a diff shape and his head is still growing. the helmet is preventing any further growth out. there is good rounding where the void was, and she and her supervisior, the head ortho, said Aidan looked " almost perfect. " Granted, you can only notice the squaring when his head is wet. Still, I am still going to make an appt with his neurosurg. to take a look at him as well. im not quite satisfied, especially when his head does not look at all round to me. thoughts anyone? at any rate i will let you know what the neurosurg. says.... marybeth Aidan, 10 mos plagio and right tort. Guest guest
Hi beth do you have another facility by that you could have Aidan evaluated??? I'm certain that the helmet tx in our case caused my daughter's boxy head shape, but I had no where else to go. We were in Germany and at the time only Spain had something or Germany where we were.
