Guest guest
Hi everyone! I'm baaaaaaaaaaaacccccckkkkkkk! We came home yesterday afternoon from our vacation, thought I'd tell you all about our trip! We went to Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia as our main destination, then took the Ferry to PEI and back one day, took another ferry from Digby, NS yesterday to St. , New Brunswick, then drove the rest of the way home (about 7 hours), but not too bad. I saw either a whale, or sharks or something, yet to be determined as they were a bit far from the boat, but either way, Blondie was psyched! I didn't get to go horse back riding after all . The owners of the place we stayed haven't saddled up the horses in a couple years, and I sure as shit didn't want to be the one to " try " it out! Better luck next time! I do have pictures of me feeding them, patting etc., I swear they remembered me from the last time I was there! I very much enjoyed looking out our window to see the horses every morning, I've even learned to " Ney " like them! LOL! We had rain a couple days, nice weather the rest of them, but cooler than we had hoped for most days. We enjoyed every bit of it, so I'm not complaining! We went for a hike up this trail ( " The Ovens " ), overlooking the Atlantic! It was awesome! SOOOO beautiful! We climbed up and down tons of steps into different underground caves that the water comes crashing into. Loved it! Both Ralph and myself actually could WALK this time around, and not get winded! It was great! I became the best of friends with a lil chipmunk in the woods, he even let us get close to take pictures . Most of you know, I'm an animal FREAK, and enjoy the more simple things in life, animals being a creature of nature, I really enjoy MOST of them, but HATE BUGS, and snakes! We were going to go " Gold Mining " ...decided against it. I was afraid I might find millions and never come home. lol! I ate TOO much, but thankfully I lost weight! Go figure! I weighed myself this a.m., looks like about 4-5 lb loss, so I'm pretty psyched, but won't know for sure until I go to the Dr. to weigh in (use his scale for my " real " weight). One thing I HATED about Canada was NOBODY had sugar free food! What's up with that?!?!?!?! I was in crisis mode! No wonder I lost weight! LOL! We also went to Peggy's Cove (site of the Swiss Air crash), of which they now have a monument up for the people who passed away in the terrible accident. It's a tiny community with a population of 60 people, so one can only imagine how much people came together at such a time of tragedy. It was really nice to visit, very quaint little town with nice people (most were very nice anyway in Canada). We did lots of other things too, just too much to list, in a nut shell, it was great to have such a wonderful time of " R & R " while exploring the areas I'm unfamiliar with. How's everyone doing here? Anything you wish to share? I can't get into archived messages with Yahoo for some reason, so any input would be greatly appreciated! Hello friends!!!
