Question

It looks like my DAN is moving to California and I

cannot afford to go out there and before I look into a new DAN closer to home I

want to see if I can do a lot of the things on my own. My first step is going

to be to git rid of or replace the Glutathione. What have people used in the

way of Glutathione with there kids. My son will take pills and is fine with

creams but is not happy with liquids.

Thanks in advance

You do not need a prescription for glutathione, but glutathione is a tripeptide that has a sulphur amino acid (L-Cysteine). Children with autism do not tolerate orally sulphur based amino acids due to the severe GI issues. Therefore, giving glutathione orally usually is ineffective - years ago the DAN physicians thought that IV injections of glutathione would work better than oral glutathione by bypassing the GI tract; but the large amounts of the glutathione did not hold for any lengthy period of time in many cases.

Recently, research work of Dr. Mark Geier has shown that high testosterone in a domino effect causes glutathione in the body to decrease. Without glutathione it is difficult to excrete heavy metals. In some cases decreasing testosterone increases glutathione and the metals begin to excrete. Dr. Geier is opening up an office in Tamarac and if anyone is interest you can contact Dr. Geier directly at 301 989-0548.

Transdermal glutathione seems to be the most effective approach next to bringing down the testosterone.

do you need a prescription for glutathione?
