Has any one had a good experience with non-DOC Band ortho in LA County area?

I'm new to the group, actually I'm new to using , too!

Anyways, my Kaiser insurance does not cover DOC Band. I was hoping

someone out there could share any great experiences with a non-DOC

Band Orth in the Los Angeles County area. Any advice would be great.

Why don't you check out the band database here? You can do a search for CA.

You can get a good list of questions for the orthotist here.

My dd is almost 1 year now and wearing a starband. She got the

starband on Jan. 5th so it's been about 2 months. We were referred to

CT for a docband but just like you our insurance didn't cover it and

they (the insurance co.) referred us to a place called Human Designs

in Long Beach. I don't have much of an opinion about them yet. The

ortho seems very nice, his name is . Whenever we've had a problem

we've been able to get an appt right away. I'm not sure we see any

correction yet which has made me skeptical but our dd is an older

plagio baby so we're not going to see results as quickly. Here is the

information for them and maybe you can contact them and get an eval

done.
