Great post, Donna! We need medical care. Period. Bang that's it.I have Medicare and Medicaid (Medi-Cal here)and both are paying quite promptly, for which Iam very grateful.Love to you, Donna, and to all here,nTo: MSersLife Sent: Tue, January 5, 2010 9:23:22 AMSubject: Re: Mayo to stop accepting Medicare

That sounds scary... wonder how it's going to work with the new health

care plans and such..

Though I do know.. there was a surgeon (he's retired) that my dad saw

for all his cancer needs (my dad has had both melanomas and colo-rectal)

and care... the doc was removing a series of moles from dad's back.. and

he did so through "Lifecare" a facility the doctor opened with a

mini-surgical unit for one day stuff.. When dad got the refusal to pay

letter from medicare he took it into the office there.. and gals there

told dad.. that it was okay.. doc knew he wasn't going to get paid for

those being removed.. that's the reason he did the work on a Saturday..

The reason Medicare refused payment.. they said it was "cosmetic"

surgery... Doc hadn't made his incisions large enough to qualify for

anything but cosmetic??? Point there being.. history of melanomas.. and

because the doctor refused (excuse my language here) to cut him from

asshole to earlobe in removing possible melanomas.. Medicare called it

"cosmetic" and refused to pay...

Doctor that took over the practice from old doc.. follows the same

belief.. no reason to scar someone all up when a little time will do the

trick with a small incision.. when he removed my stuff last year or the

year before sometime.. gals in his office told me that they wouldn't be

fully paid either.. even though I have a Primary Insurance Company,

Medicare and Medicaid.. that they would end up with only what the

Primary Insurance Company paid.. Medicare would be super slow to pick up

the balance.. and Medicaid would forget to pay anything after Medicare

got finished with their share..

Yes, we need health care reform.. in the worst way.. but they need to

regulate the insurance companies and medicare and medicaid.. then work

on the hospitals.. reduce the overinflated billing to the insurance

companies and then make sure the insurance companies PAY the full amount

owed by them.. of a non-overinflated bill...

And not to cause a ruckus... but get off the friggin' high horse of "We

don't want our tax dollars to pay for abortions".. cause honey.. you're

tax dollars are already paying for abortions whether that was planned or

wanted or not.... so why the fuss?

With all the bright minds in Washington.. they should be able to come up

with a solution.. oh but then.. those campaign contributions might

stop.. wouldn't want to lessen our bank accounts by doing something good

for the people..

I'm off the box now.. cause I need to keep my blood pressure down... LOL
