I just sent Edith a link to the Mayo clinic websight where they have a drug

checker with all of the side effects of just about any drug you can think

of.Minocycline is definitely the cause of her blue teeth. It says about

minocycline as one of the side effects is brown or bluish-black pigmentation

of the skin, bones, mucous membranes, teeth, nailbeds, and structures of

inner organs. My derm warned me about side effects when she prescribed it

for me 3 months ago and to stop taking it immediately if I noticed anything

like that and call her. I have not had any side effects like that but have

been watching closely.

This is what I understood, too, that although teeth discoloration following

tetracyclines usually occurs in developing teeth, it is not impossible for

adults to experience this. Also, I know of one other rosacea sufferer

(besides Edith) who developed teeth discoloration after taking

tetracyclines.
