Guest guest Posted April 13, 2010 Report Share Posted April 13, 2010 Therapeutic Summer Experience for Children and Teens with Autism In response to recent requests, the Cadenza Center staff is pleased to announce the creation of a therapeutic summer camp experience specifically for children and teens ages 5 – 10 and 11 – 17 with autism spectrum disorders. This camp will engage individuals in a half day program incorporating music and art therapy, play therapy, and social skills training. Space will be limited to no more than 10 to allow for adequate therapist/client interaction. Weekly themes and special events are also planned. Dates: Monday – Friday starting June 14 – August 20. (10 weekly sessions) Cost: $65/day; $300 per week; sibling discounts are available Registration: $30 per child Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Supervised play from 8:30 – 9:00 and 12:00 – 1:00 is also available at no additional charge. Ages: 5 – 17 years There may also be opportunity for a high-functioning teen to assist as a counselor in training for a reduced fee.
