Guest guest
I am doing some writing on the research project involving the Pentecostal church (that I mentioned earlier). I have to do the writing in English, and most of the time that's ok, but some times... it's harder. And right now I need the help from some of you English speaking people to find a word. It's common in the free church in Sweden to have coffee and pastries/cookies/sandwiches/whatever in church on Sundays, right after the Sunday service. In Swedish this would be referred to as "kyrkkaffe", the literal translation would be "church coffee", but I tried to google it, and came up with just a lot of hits that seemed to be about a particular brand of coffee, or something like that. So, my questions are as follow:1. Would the phrase "church coffee", to an English speaking person, actually imply the church custom I described above, at all?2. Is that custom common in churches in the English speaking world too, and if so, what word is used to refer to it?Any thoughts? My gratitude for any help given will be eternal...love/Reb
