Hi, Jill,

well, normally I'd say try the metronidazole 2% gel , like it mentioned in the

study, but maybe you have an inherent allergy to it.Maybe you also have a bit of

seborrheic dermatitis, which is caused by a skin fungus, and this would be worse

after an antibiotic like metronidazole. So, in your case I wouldn' try it, or

only a tiny amount and see what happens.

Good luck,

Annie

Subject: Ocular cea

Hi Annie,

I wanted to ask you about the Demodex theory in relation to the eyes.

I have had cea of the face for about 10 years and to the eyes for about 4

years. I have managed to control the facial symptoms to a certain degree

through chinese herbs and diet. However nothing I have done makes any

difference to my eyes. In desperation 4 weeks ago I took Doxycycline (50 mg

once a day) but only managed to take them for 2 weeks because of the side

affects.

Would applying Metronidazole gel to the eye lashes be something that you would

recommend? I notice on the tube I have of this at home that it says do not

put near eyes and I know when I have used this before on my cheeks the area

around the eyes always seems redder.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Jill.
