Guest guest
Maureen, I am sorry to hear bout your surgery troubles. If this is any comfort, I had a simular experience myself, not once, but twice with surgeries. I did not loose ability to walk with iehter one, but once after a surgery I woke up and noticed I could not feel anything at all on the outside of my right leg. No matter what I did I could not feel it. I was told nerve damage as well. Feeling did come back but it took about a year for it to complete, it was bits at a time. it didnt all come back at once. a year or so after that it happened again, only on the other leg. outside as well. Only thing was, this time I was awake enough to find out why it happened. A nurse came in and gave me a pain shot in the leg. I heard him say " ooops. " and looked down and the needle had bent. he did not realize I was with it enough to notice cause he said, " oh I think I got a cappilary with that one. oh well it will heal " . Needless to say I spent another year with no feeling in my leg again. so I did register a complaint agaisnt that nurse. anyway to comfort you, it is common, and feeling does come back. It sounds with you they may have hit a main nerve, and may take longer, but I bet you'll be just fine. You will be gin with tingling sensations. sometimes thats not to pleasant, but at least it's feeling. good luck, hang in there, and know your not alone. Prayers are with you
Guest guest
Maureen,There should be services to help you get through this. you should have been given a home health aide to help you and do light housework ,and if you get respite for they will increase your hours until you are back on your feet again.Iwould call social services at the hosp you were in and see if they cannot offer some help.I too lost a year of my life due to an injury and got various services until i was well enough to go out for rehab.Maybe you know some teens who could be your legs by watching your child a couple of hours a day.My thoughts and prayers .. --- Lee <texasbluebonnets@...> wrote: > Maureen, > > I am sorry to hear bout your surgery troubles. Guest guest
I've been having health problems for over a year and have not felt good since. It is causing me depression and the Doctors don't have any answers for me. Please, I am asking for prayers for healing. Thank you all. Love and Light,
