Requesting a reassignment to another school in the same City

Hi list members,

I have a question I/we live in Coconut Creek my 4 yr old daughter is currently

attending Tradewinds Elem (integrated place program) she began in November of

2009 so just weeks ago. I am happy with her placement and was wondering how I

can go about requesting a reassignment for her AND her twin sister to attend

Tradewinds elem. for K-5.Our home school is Winston Park which is also located

in Coconut Creek however does not have an autism cluster or autism coach on

sight where's Tradewinds does. I can't apply for a McKay scholarship because she

hasn't attended a public school for 1 year and also has to be enrolled for 2

full FTE periods meaning that she would've had to have begun there in October in

order to be eligible for next years school year. What are the chacnes that a

reassignment for next school year will be granted and what should my reasoning

being be if I have to go in front of the school board? Last but not least her

typical twin is currently attending a typical vpk program elsewhere if I apply

for a reassignment for my daughter who is currently attending Tradewinds can &

would she be grandfathered in?
