Guest guest
Gee weaning is hard, I know, I am almost finished here. Don't kick yourself, you have given your child a fabulous gift of the best nourishment she could hope for, for 11 months of her life. Be proud, that is more than many moms in the US manage. And if the formula is giving her a rash, try switching brands. Hugs, I know it's tough, is almost 14 months and today was the first day she didn't nurse at all, I tried to offer it to her but she wasn't interested ... tried to get her when sleepy even but mummy nummies were rejected ... ah well. If she is going to give it up, try to get one last loving session in, so you have a sweet memory. Catch her when she's just going to sleep or waking up and memorize the moment big hugs jen need support, advice, just some HELP > I am crying my eyes out here. I have been for a while (since she was 5-6 > months old) giving (11 months) a bottle BUT only when we are out of the > house (I would LOVE to BF in public but I have way to big of a chest I just > cant do it) or when I am gone DH will give her one. Well, it seems that now > she just wants the bottle, <snip>
Guest guest
You guys are making me teary My ds just turned a year and I would like to continue bfing until he's ready to stop. i used to be ok with the idea of him initiating the end but now realizing that it's getting closer and closer. It's such a special time, and I think all too often we take forgranted this bond we have with our babes for such a short time in their lives. Sure - we have to give up some things - but it's worth it. I know tonight when I was nursing before bed that I was thinking that I could be upstairs doing other things - but now I realize that it's only 15 minutes out of my day and it's time I can spend alone with him. We won't have that connection forever. I'm going to try to cherish each time we get in our rocking chair before bed. I can imagine how hard it is to be coming to the end. Hugs, need support, advice, just some HELP > > > > I am crying my eyes out here.
