Guest guest
Oh, boy, I guess it was posting, it was just me not getting the mail -sorry! No peanuts for just 3 weeks, they want to see if I'm allergic to them. I know the blood type diet - you must be a type A like me. The dairy thing is the worst. Goat cheese is ok on a salad, or on crackers, esp. if it has some herbs mixed in it to take away some of the sour. I found a soy yogurt at the health food store, so I can still do my yogurt and fruit in the morning - it has the accidipholis(SP) in it, which I need as well. Pam B. update on my alternative treatment Hi All, it's been awhile since I posted, I've been so busy and that is only because I am definitely feeling better! My laundry is caught up, my house is still not clean - but it's presentable. We've had a couple of play-dates and I've gotten a bunch of client work done. What an improvement! I had another visit with Bastyr yesterday and it was only supposed to be for 1/2 hour but took 1 1/2... my babysitter wasn't pleased! So, here is an update on my treatment: Still taking: the bugleweed tincture siberian ginseng flax oil New: Taking CoEnzyme Q-10 Sedaplex - which is to calm anxiety - herbs And, for three weeks, I have to cut out ALL dairy, wheat, corn and peanuts. And try to avoid sugar and alcohol. (I don't know what I'm going to eat for the next three weeks )Then we are going to add one thing in at a time and see if any of them are bothersome to me. Once we figure that out, they are going to put me on a 6-8 month program to heal my gut, apparently they think I have a leaky gut. Have any of you heard of that? They want me to eat even more protein. Did you know we are supposed to have a minimum of 60 g of protein a day? I'm still trying to figure out how to do that. Also, for the next 4 weeks, I'm going to be having Craniosaural therapy which is (i think) like having acupuncture on your head without the needles - tapping on pressure points or something? Another hyperthyroid patient there has been doing it for a few weeks now with great results, supposedly. And finally, with all this stuff I have to take 3 times a day, etc and all my supplements I've been taking from ithyroid.com, I asked if they knew of a multivitamin without iodine or iron and thy sold me Thorne Research Advanced formula, Basic Nutrients V with copper / without iron or iodine. I still have to take 6 of these a day, but it's better than the 30 or so I've been taking. I think that is it, there was a weird thing they did to get rid of my sore knees and sugar cravings, I'll tell you about that in another post... gotta run to the airport now to pick up a friend.
