Guest guest
Hi , I LOVE Hallie's band. It came out great!!! It's good to hear how well she's adjusting. I moved her adorable pics into the H folder. Keep us posted on her progress. > > Hey everybody, > Just wanted to say that Hallie is doing so great with her DOC band! > She adjusted to it in about 2 days and now doesn't seem to know it's > there! > We had it painted so pretty for spring (pink with butterflies, > ladybugs, bumblebees, and her name.) Guest guest
Thank you !! We took it to a local artist whose son also had a DOC band. She paints them for a lot of people so I knew she would do a good job and do enough coats to make it last. I figured as much as we paid to get the DOC band, we could spend a little more to have it painted pretty rather than me taking the chance on messing it up! I'm so pleased with how it came out! Best of luck with Isabelle's band!! Take care, > > > > Hey everybody, > > Just wanted to say that Hallie is doing so great with her DOC > band! > > She adjusted to it in about 2 days and now doesn't seem to know > it's > > there! > > We had it painted so pretty for spring (pink with butterflies, > > ladybugs, bumblebees, and her name.) Guest guest
Thanks !! We are so pleased with how well it's all working out! I'm curious...are you a parent of a child with a band or are you a PT? I was just wondering how this board got started and how you are involved. It's a great board and I'm glad I found it. I just wish I had found it weeks before Hallie got her band so I could have been more prepared for the casting process. It was very scary for us. One mom at Cranial Tech told me that before her daughter's casting, she prepared her by playing PeekABoo with a pair of pantyhose going over her head and that when they went for the casting, her daughter didn't even cry! I think that's a great idea, but unfortunately I didn't hear about it until after Hallie's casting. Maybe you could add that idea to one of the postings on tips for bands for parents who are trying to prepare for getting a band. Thanks for your compliments and thanks for managing this board! It's a great resource! Charlotte, NC --- In Plagiocephaly , " stripes6060 " <taime@...> wrote: > > Hi , > I LOVE Hallie's band. It came out great!!! It's good to hear how well > she's adjusting.
