Guest guest
Dear Parents: Hello, my name is Lina Moyano. I have been working in the field of autism for over 5 years. I first began as a behavior therapist and then moved towards a more developmental/relationship based approach. Currently I am the only Mental Health professional in Broward County who is actually in the process of becoming certified in DIR/Floortime. This summer I am going for my second year of training and I am very happy to bring this knowledge to my community and the families who need it. I work privately under the supervision of Dr. Lorraine Ehlers-Flint, a faculty member of ICDL (Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders). I am also enrolled in a Doctorate program in Special Education with a minor in Autism at Nova Southeastern University. I hold a License in Clinical Social Work (L.C.S.W.) and the wonderful thing about that is that many insurance companies reimburse my services as they can be billed as Mental Health visits. However this all depends on your insurance and the plan you have. Floortime is a very comprehensive model that aims to build important foundations of development such as attention, regulation and engagement, through affection which is the reason why family participation is so important! I work at clients’ houses with the parents and with other care givers so the interaction I do with each child can be continued when I am not there. I am truly passionate about what I do and hope I can be of some assistance to you and your family. If you think this model is right for you or want to know more about my services, feel free to contact me at or moyanolina@... Thank you, Lina Moyano, L.C.S.W.
