Guest guest
Touchmath is pretty expensive, but you can also download a small 5 sheet set which is about $2.50, and I believe there is a minimum 5 set requirement which would be $12.50. That's not too bad. Go online and check out the sets that you are interested in, buy the sets and just make copies of them, so you can use over and over with your child until your child masters the problem. Also, once the school year starts, if your school uses touchmath, just ask the teacher to make a copy of the set, and have ready at home. I have never been denied this. One time they even gave me the whole set, and I made my own copies and later returned the originals to the teacher. Good luck! Many ESE teachers teach our students with autism to count and do math using touch Math. I would like to work on teaching my son the basics of doing very simple word problems using this method but the materials are expensive. I don't really need all 210 worksheets so I could split the materials and the cost with someone interested. See the materials at http://www.touchmath.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=firstgrade.products & CATID=3 & Pid=62E-mail me off list with your phone number and we can talk about it.
